Moscow mayor Luzhkov signed a degree to create a Jewish cemetery.

                  15.01.2003

Soon, Moscow will have a Jewish cemetery with a ritual complex. Moscow mayor Yuriy Luzhkov has signed a special decree, reports "Interfax" news agency.
The decision has been made following the request made by the "Federation of the Jewish Communities of Russia" Orthodox Judaism religious organization.
The burials in the cemetery are supposed to be in full compliance with the Judaism canons. The cemetery, which is to be created by 2005 on a 6 hectare plot along Borovsky highway, will be financed from the city budget.
