                  18.01.2003

A photo exhibition titled "Jerusalem in Snow" will be held in St. Petersburg, in February, 2003. It is jointly organized by the Russian Art Museum of the city of Ramat-Gan and Saint Petersburg's Museum of Jewish Studies. The External Relations Committee of Saint Petersburg Administration has announced that the question was discussed during the recent Smolniy meeting between the Governor of Saint Petersburg Vladimir Yakovlev and the Israeli Deputy Prime-Minister, Minister of Construction Nathan Sharansky. The exhibition will be one of the events prepared by the State of Israel for the 300th anniversary of Saint Petersburg. Headed by Mr. Sharansky, a governmental commission on the celebration of the City on the Neva's jubilee prepares other projects, too. In particular, ten best photographs will take pictures and show them to the public in "A Day in the Lives of Saint Petersburg and Jerusalem".
Two films made in Israel, "Message to a Human Being" and "Festival of Festivals", will be shown in the Russian "Unifilm" film festival. In addition, the chamber choir of the city of Ramat-Gan is expected to participate in the "Palaces of Saint Petersburg" musical festival in June.
