                  A Russian street survey.

                  24.01.2003

The survey conducted by "Likud" on a Russian street shows the preference of the new repatriates: "Likud" - 20%, "Israel ba-Alia" - 20%, "Ikhud ha-Leumi" - 18%, "Shinui"- 15%. Only three per cent support "Avoda" party. Other parties meet almost no support of Russian-language repatriates.
It is evident that this survey is the final one, and that great changes will hardly take place. The only thing the analysts find hard to agree upon is the mandate electoral constant, that is the real "price" of every single mandate during the upcoming January 28 Knesset elections. For instance, the 4% mandate constant could result in 5 mandates; however, the 4.5% mandate constant could bring a different result, especially considering the final vote distribution between the parties.
