Youth group workshop was held in Dnipropetrovs'k.
26.01.2003 The future is known to belong to the young generation. That is the very reason the Jews pay that much attention to the upbringing of the youth, in the spirit of Jewish traditions, Jewish culture. The best results are obtained when the kids actively participate in the life of a Jewish community, Jewish organizations; when the kids become leaders.
DISOR and "Joint" held on January 20-21 a youth group workshop. The representatives of the youth clubs of Dnipropetrovsk region Jewish communities took part in the workshop. The objective of the forum was to teach the leaders of independent youth groups the principles of organizing Jewish programs, establishing relations between youth centers of different cities. Beside that, the exchange of ideas, youth club programs, and personal leader experience was also included in the agenda of the workshop.
Individual and group presentations were included into the agenda. Then, the participants presented their most successful programs pointing out at their strong points.
Interesting speeches were delivered by the following workshop participants: Ari Earl, Igal Kotler (Israel), Valeria Kovalson (Moscow), and Lyudmila Polekhina (Dnipropetrovs'k).
During the workshop, the kids received new information, made programs for their future group work, and determined the plans for the future cooperation and experience exchange between youth clubs and their leaders. There is no doubt that these two days spent in work and communication will serve a good basis for the future activities of the leaders of the Jewish communities' youth clubs.
