                  "Open House" to be held in Samara area's House of the Peoples' Friendship.

                  "Open House" will be held in Samara area's House of the People's Friendship. The event will include the official opening of 13 offices for national and cultural associations, as well as an exhibition of arts and crafts and national cuisines, a concert by ensembles of the area's national and cultural associations. The preservation and development of the cultural heritage by the national cultural and educational organizations is of high importance for this multinational area. Up until very recently, these NGOs have endured difficulties in their activities, not being able to rent office space. According to the Samara area Governor decree, the national and cultural associations have acted under that auspice the "House of the Friendship of the Nations" opened at the end of 2001.
                  The following national and cultural organization will continue their effective work in the new offices: Samara regional public organization "Russian National Centre"; Samara area public organization "Russian-Byelorussian Fellowship 2000"; Chuvash public association "Pekhil" (Samara and the area); Samara regional public organization "Mastorava" Mordovan national and cultural center"; the Association of Jewish Public organizations of Samara area; the regional Georgian cultural centre "Samshoblo"; Tatar public associations "Tugan Tel" (Samara and the area); the Polish cultural and educational society "Potomac"; the regional German cultural center "Nadezhda"; the Ukrainian national and cultural center "Promin"; the public organization "Kurultai Bashkir" (Samara and the area); Gypsy public associations; Samara regional cultural and educational public organization "Volga Cossack Voisko".
