                  The International Conference of peace and consent has opened in Alma-Ata.

                  The International Conference of peace and consent, called under the initiative of the president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev, has opened In Alma-Ata.
                  Among participants of the Conference there were the heads of Kirghizia, Tadjikistan, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Turkey and over 60 leaders of the largest Jewish organizations from the USA and Israel.
                  The Conference was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC), which is the continental branch of the World Jewish Congress (WJC) uniting Jewish organizations of countries of the CIS and the Asian-Pacific region.
                  Carrying out the International Conference of peace and consent continues the initiative suggested during the 1st International Conference of Euro-Asian rabbis, held in October 2002 in Kazakhstan, when participants requested Nursultan Nazarbaev to take under his aegis the Islamic-Judaic dialogue.
                  The USA President George Bush, the Prime Minister of Israel Ariel Sharon as well as the President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma have addressed greetings to participants of the forum.
                  On results of the work it is planned to pass the declaration "About peace and consent" and to found the Forum of peace and stability which primary goal will be continuation of the dialogue between nations and religions.
