The Holiday of Spring organized at the "Rimon" Jewish community center in Almaty.

This year, spring arrived in Almaty exactly on March 1. At once, the sound of brooks flowing immensely became audible everywhere, the sun's rays turned warm. The windows of the "Rimon" Jewish center glitter; the children, teachers and elder JCC members are smiling light-heartedly.
There are two more weeks to the holiday of Purim. However, people crave a holiday. They do!? The community's wish is the JCC's command! Sunday, March 2, the "Rimon" gathered children of the Art Center for Children, as well as their parents, for the Holiday of Spring.
Don't bother looking for this holiday in the calendar: it is simply not there. The Holiday of Spring, filled with joy, fun and happiness, was created by the restless employees and members of the "Rimon" JCC. Not only did the holiday make those present feel good; it also, literally, made their hearts beat faster.
Bag running, timed balloon blowing, one leg jumping through the hall of the Community center did agitate the children already excited by the thaw, and left their parents forceless. Competing on equal terms in deftness, knowledge of the Tradition, speaker/actor/host skills, the team of the parents lost to that of the children, all the parents ending the first "blind sprint" in the reserve bench.
The Community center members will probably never forget the concentrated faces of the family heads who, blindfolded, hands in boxing-gloves, had to recognize by touch only the palms of their sons or daughters.
The Holiday of Spring had brought an ocean of fun to the community. The holiday gave the adults and children yet another opportunity to please each other and be closer.
Everyday is a holiday, and every holiday is a day spent in the community circle, this is the slogan of the holidays invented on the spot!
