Israel is to become the principal geopolitical partner of Azerbaijan.
11.03.2003 Azerbaijan is to maintain relations with states like Turkey, Israel, and the USA.
For Azerbaijan, cooperation with these states will mean financial, military, and political assistance. The European parliament considers Armenia, Russia and Iran to be the main adversaries of Azerbaijan. Armenia has occupied a part of Azerbaijan's territory, while Russia supports this occupation. Iran is trying to occupy the Azerbaijan's oil deposits in the Caspian sea and is constantly interfering into the internal affairs of Azerbaijan, demanding to cut all the ties with Israel.
