                  Presentation of information and fiction books about the State of Israel took place in Tula.

                  The presentation of information and fiction books about the State of Israel and the history of the Jewish people was held in the Central Library of the town of Tula. The books were donated by the Public Relation Department of the Embassy of the State of Israel in the net of developing Russian-Israeli public and cultural ties.
                  The event turned to be interesting and remarkable. And now there is a new meeting. Vera Scheinkmann, the librarian of the Tula Region "Hasdei Neshama" Jewish charitable center, presented the books offered by the Embassy. The editor of the Tula Jewish newspaper "Neshama", Yan Schilt; the Head of the lecture center of the Open University of Israel, Yelena Perchik; the librarian of the Ancient Centre of the Hesed, Polina Lapsker, spoke about the books received, about the history of Jewish people and the present situation in Israel.
                  Marina Konstantinova, the Chiman of the "Aticva" Community of Modern (Progressive) Judaism, presented and donated the library books on progressive Judaism history and tradition as well as the "Three Souls" sidur (prayer book). There was held a presentation of the "Rodnik" magazine published by the Union of the Religious Organizations of Modern Judaism in Russia with the support of the World Congress of Progressive Judaism.
                  The meeting was attended by Marina Simonova, a representative of the Protestant Community of the town of Tula. She spoke about the cooperation between the representatives of different confessions on the issues common to everyone - achieving peace and preserving the memory of the Holocaust victims. This important and interesting event had been organized by Olga Fradkova, the coordinator of the community programs of the "Hasdei Neshama" TRJCC, and Svetlana Androsova, the Director of the Central Library of the town.
