Tourists put off voyages to Arab countries.

                  21.03.2003

Russian tourists refuse buying voyages to Middle East Arab countries. Due to the military actions in Iraq, many people have decided to put off voyages to the UAE, Israel, Egypt, etc.
Olga Svechkova, the vice-president of a travel agency, has said that only a few days ago the number of those wishing to stay was small. For instance, the plane to Hugarda was full, with only ten people not going. With the war on, the number of those wishing not to go has begun to grow. Olga Svechkova says that clients are putting off their voyages, hoping that the situation improves in the next month and a half, at least.
Employees of travel agencies think that by the time the summer season starts the military actions will have already been over, therefore the war in Iraq will not seriously damage the Russian tourist industry.
