Israeli Cultural Center recently opened in Ulyanovsk.

                  31.03.2003

An Israeli Cultural Center has recently been opened in Ulyanovsk. This is a very significant event, especially for the dwellers of the town, for they could attend a terrific concert featuring songs, dances, lectures and exhibitions. The opening ceremony was attended by Alex Voiler, the Jewish Agency in Russia's Samara branch envoy on repatriation; Vika Chapanina, the JAR's Ulyanovsk coordinator; other high ranking officials of the region. Yosi Tavor, the First Secretary of the Embassy of the State of Israel in the Russian Federation, delivered an interesting lecture on assimilation. The exalted audience was applauding and, impressed, crying.
