9th World Women's Seder.
11.04.2003 This year, the 9th World Women's Seder was held in 87 cities and towns of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and Germany. More than a thousand women had gathered to start preparations for the upcoming Pesakh, and to discuss the role of the woman in Jewish history and the modern world.
Under the Kesher project initiative, the women said the pray for peace at the seders. They prayed against the war, violence, terrorism; for the bright sky above for the Jewish people and everybody else on earth.
The history of the Exodus was the topic of numerous meetings. Participating in the project's programs, the women had learnt to discuss the Jewish texts, which later allowed them to hold serious discussion, in which they used not only the Aggada specially prepared for the occasion, but also the Torah's texts.
