                  Small community leader training workshop held in Omsk.

                  More than sixty high school students from Izhevsk, Ufa, Perm, Chelyabinsk, Tumen, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Novokuznetsk, Tomsk, Kransoyarsk participated in the Small community leader training workshop held in Omsk.
                  "Our two year course is made up of six workshops, said in an interview to RUJEN the executive director of the Union of Religious Organizations of Modern Judaism in Russia Valeriy Sheinin. We start with the basics: the Jewish tradition, history, culture. New subjects are added later on: Judaic studies, group teaching, psychology".
                  The future leader especially enjoyed the classes conducted by Nelli Schulmann, the sole CIS female rabbi and the chief rabbi of the progressive Judaism community of Byelorussia.
