The "Sources" photo-exhibition in Kazan.
16.04.2003 The "Sources" photo-exhibition, organized by the department on public relations of the Israeli Embassy in the Russian Federation together with the Culture Office of the Kazan administration, has been opened in the National museum of the Tatarstan republic. The exhibition is carried out under the program aimed at improvement of relations between Russia and Israel.
Thirty photolandscapes by Khannan Issahar represent Israel as the land where three world religions have arisen: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. One can see the exhibition as thirty stops on the way of historical development of world religions. It is natural that in the beginning of the third millenium of the Christian era, Christian relics take special place in the exposition.
It is the first large project of the Embassy of the State of Israel in Kazan. During this action some information materials devoted to the history of Jewish people and the life of Israel along with the selection of art and historical literature were gifted to libraries and universities of the city.
