Solemn awarding of Just Men of the Peoples of the World takes place in Moscow.

A solemn ceremony of awarding Just Men of the Peoples of the World with honorary diplomas and medals will take place in Moscow. The event will be held within frames of the Commemoration Evening for Victims of Nazism and Heroes of Resistance, organized by the "Holocaust" Fund and with participation of the Embassy of Israel in the Russian Federation.
Yad Va-ash, the Israeli Institute, confers a high title of a Just Man of the Peoples of the World to citizens of different countries as highest appreciation and gratitude of the people of Israel to the ones, who rescued Jews within the period of Nazi's occupation, notwithstanding risk for their own lives and lives of their relatives and intimates. The State of Israel highly appreciates deeds of such people. As a Hebraic proverb says: "One who saved a life, saves the whole world".
17 Just Men of the Peoples of the World and their representatives take part in the ceremony this year. Mr. Arkadi Mil-Man, an Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Israel to the Russian Federation, will hand memorial medals and certificates.
