Jewish Educational Center Building in Saint Petersburg to be reconstructed.
29.05.2003 Reconstruction work has begun in the building of a Jewish Educational center in Saint Petersburg. The "Beit Sefer Menahem" school is to move into the reconstructed building.
The official ceremony was attended by a delegation of Israeli and Jewish public figures headed by Israeli Vice Prime Minister Natan Sharansky, the President of the Federation of Jewish communities of the CIS Lev Levayev, the Chief Rabbi of Russia (FJCR) Berl Lazar, the Chief Rabbi of the Saint Petersburg religious community Menahem Mendle Pevzner and leaders of Jewish organizations in the city.
