Results of social research performed by experts of Euro-Asian Jewish Congress disappoint.
09.06.2003 Three quarters of Jews living in Kazakhstan live below the poverty line. These are the results of social research made by experts of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress. According to the data presented by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of People of the Republic, the poverty line has been defined as 40 per cent of the subsistence level and totals 2077 tenge (about USD 14) per person a month. In the first quarter of the year the subsistence level was 5193 tenge.
