Unique Jewish cemetery is being destroyed in Grodno.
03.07.2003 The Congress of Jewish Religious Organizations and Unions in Russia (CJROUR) expressed indignation and resolutely protested to the administration of the town of Grodno (Byelorussia) in connection with the destruction of a unique Jewish cemetery, which is more than 300 years old and where, in particular, the victims of the Holocaust are buried. It was stated in an appeal widespread by the CJROUR and signed by its chairman rabbi, Zinoviy Kogan.
