Seminar on the safety of Russian Jewish Communities was held in Israel.
24.07.2003 A ten-day seminar on the safety of Russian Jewish Communities was held in June, in Israel. Vadik Plitman, a representative of the Kaliningrad Jewish Community, took part in the seminar.
26 representatives from different cities and towns throughout Russia participated in the seminar. They stayed in a hotel in Netania, and studied at the military base in Keisaria. The program was rich in content. For all 10 days, from 8 a.m. till 8 p.m. participants engaged in hand-to-hand fighting techniques and arms training. They learned how to organize public safety measures correctly, how to evacuate people under extreme situations, how to find and identify explosives and terrorists, and many other things necessary for security officials of a Jewish community.
Israel has unique experiences with terror and the neutralization of explosives. Israeli experts are the best in these areas, so security officers from the entire world come to study from them.
