                  Rights advocates get the situation in Pesochnyi village under control.

                  Alexandr Brod, director of the Moscow Bureau of Human Rights, reported that human rights advocates took the situation in Pesochnyi village, in the Sestroretskiy region of Leningrad Oblast where the Kohan family had been terrorized for eight years, under their control.
                  The problems began over the renovation of an apartment. While doing renovations in 1996, the daughter of Albert Kohan, patriarch, flooded the neighboring apartment by accident, which is a common mishap while doing construction. Kohan compensated the neighboring Mochalov family for the damages, but their neighbors were not satisfied with the compensation, and threatened the family.
