Mikhail Oshtrakh receives threatening letter in Ekaterainburg.
20.08.2003 Mikhail Oshtrakh, president of the Jewish National Cultural Autonomy in Ekaterinburg received a letter containing insults and threats. Mr. Oshtrakh reported that the envelope bore the stamp of Vyborg (in Leningrad oblast). The authors of the letter threatened to physically harm Mikhail Oshtrakh, and said they would force him to leave Russia.
