Negotiations are underway to reopen old synagogue in Shanghai.
30.09.2003 The chief rabbi of Shanghai, Sholom Greenberg, told the JTA agency that the Shanghai community brought the Torah scroll into the synagogue this year, to celebrate the New Year, for the first time since the World War II. More then 200 people took part in the prayers. He also said that negotiations were underway with the Shanghai City Council to reopen the city
