The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress congratulates the winners of the elections to the Israeli parliament. The election campaign showed the Jewish state loyalty to values of democracy, and the election results demonstrated a landslide victory of the «Likud» party leader Benjamin Netanyahu.
We are convinced that Israel Knesset with a new composition, using long-term experience of the Prime Minister, will be stronger and will be able to firmly pursue a policy that provides stability in the region and the security of the Jewish people, both in the Middle East and around the world. A strong Israel was and remains one of the most important guarantees of freedom of the Jewish Diaspora, especially now, when it is facing the massive anti-Semitic attacks in different parts of the world.
Jewish communities in Eurasia today share with the new Israeli leadership expectations of positive changing on our historical homeland, and are wishing to them of unity and determination, and to the people of Israel — peace and prosperity.
