EAJC Secretary General Meets With Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Primate

On June 17, 2015, the Chairman of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress General Counci, Co-Chairman of the Associaton of Jewish Communities and Organizations (VAAD) Ukraine Josef Zissels met with the Major Archbishop of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Sviatoslav Shevchuk.

The discussion concerned the upcoming meeting of the Ukrainian Council of Churches, which will be on fostering Ukrainian society in the spirit of European values — a topic proposed by Zissels himself. After the meeting, the Council is due to make a proposal to Ukrainian civil society and the Ukrainian government on the creation of a corresponding educational program.
