Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) expressess concern over the agreement between Iran and the six world powers on Iran's nuclear program and shares the deeply troubling of Israel in connection with this deal. Long-term support for anti-Israeli forces by the Islamic Republic and permanent threats to the Jewish state from the highest Iranian officials give reasonable grounds to believe that the agreement reached in Vienna will not have a deterrent effect on Iran, but will let loose it in the foreseeable future.

EAJC regrets that the interests of the Jewish state, first and foremost, its security, have not been considered by the international mediators in deciding whether to deal with Iran. We regret that the Israeli representatives were not involved in developing of the agreement. The rigid requirement to refuse any support for armed anti-Israeli groups and stop the outrageous propaganda calling for the destruction of the Jewish state, would demonstrate the commitment of the international community not only to protect the Jewish state, but to bring the Iranian authorities to a civilized dialogue.

EAJC hopes that the world powers that have signed the agreement are ready and able to actually make Iran not to develop nuclear weapons and can guarantee the security of the Jewish state.
