Alexander Baron Meets With Metropolitan Aleksandr
12.01.2016, Region In the first days of 2016, the head of the Jewish community of Kazakhstan, Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Presidium member, “Mitzvah” Association Council Chairman, member of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Alexander Baron and the Metropolitan of Astana and Kazakhstan Aleksandr (Mogilev).
The meeting, which was held at the Metropolitan’s initiative, took place at his residence. The heads of the Jewish and Christian Orthodox community discussed the events of 2015, which had notable been the 20th anniversary year of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan and the 70th anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War, wished each other a happy New Year, and exchanged wishes of prosperity, success, and health.
The meeting took place in a friendly and warm atmosphere, and was a contribution to supporting interfaith and inter-ethnic dialogue, mutual understanding, respect, and tolerance, and thus to peace and concord between different peoples.
