In Minsk, at the former Jewish cemetery the Mourning rally was held in memory of Austrian Jews who were deported and murdered in the Minsk ghetto and Trostenets death camp. The ceremony was organized for the eighth time. The rally was traditionally attended by relatives of the victims.
Speeches were made by Alexander Beierl, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria in Belarus, Boris Gersten, Chairman of the Union of Belarusian Jewish Public Associations and Communities, member of the EAJC General Council, Sima Margolina, former prisoner of Minsk ghetto, and others.
At the ceremony traditionally sounded four funeral prayers: Jewish, Orthodox, Catholic and Evangelical.
