Svetlana Yakimenko, Chairman of the Central Board of the international Jewish women's organization "Project Kesher", a member of the General Council of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) as guest of honor took part in the meeting of the Union of Muslim women in Russia, dedicated to the celebration of Ramadan. The meeting took place in Ramadan Tent installed on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow.
"Project Kesher", a member of the EAJC is one of the organizers of the Interreligious and Interethnic Women's Council and actively brings together women in different cities of Russia.
Svetlana Yakimenko congratulated those present on the holiday and noted the important role of women in maintaining peace. "We are all united by a common desire to live in peace, harmony and work together to make our world a kinder, so that we understand and support each other", Yakimenko said.
