On January 16, 2017, the leaders of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) met in Berlin. The meeting was dedicated to possible directions of development for the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress. EAJC President Julius Meinl, Secretary General Michael Chlenov, General Council Chairman Josef Zissels, Meinl’s personal aide Peter Weinzierl, and editor-in-chief of the EAJC website Vyacheslav Likhachev were present at the meeting.

The conversation showed that the President, who was elected in 2014, and the representatives of the founding communities of the Congress have very different views of the EAJC’s future. The search for possible strategies of development for the EAJC continues.
