On May 4, the Chairman of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congree General Council, Co-President of the Association of Jewish Communities and Organizations (VAAD) Ukraine Josef Zissels met with the Executive Director of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) David Harris and Sam Kliger, the AJC Director for Russian Jewish Community Affairs. The meeting contained a discussion of the situation in Ukraine and the Ukrainian Jewish community in particular, the participation of AJC in commemoration of the Babyn Yar mass shooting site, possibilities for a larger AJC presence in Ukraine and other matters of mutual interest.
