Ukrainian Jewish Organizatin and Nativ have agreed to cooperate

Today, the President of the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine Borys Lozhkin and Executive Director of the JCU Inna Ioffe had a meeting with the head of the Israeli Bureau “Nativ” Neta Briskin-Peleg, the Regional Director of “Nativ” Felix Gurvich and Vice-Head of “Nativ” Yulia Dor.

The “Nativ” Bureau is a governmental liaison organization of Israel that is engaged in establishing ties with the Jewish communities in the countries of the CIS and Eastern Europe, expanding their national identity, as well as providing assistance to the repatriates from these countries. The Bureau coordinates the work of the cultural centers at the Israeli embassies, as well as supports local community projects.

The parties have discussed the ongoing JCU projects and the potential participation of the Bureau in them.

“The Jewish Confederation of Ukraine has launched a number of interesting projects. The project “The Righteous People of My City” seems to be especially promising. It's even a shame that we have not come up with it ourselves. I think we will become partners in this and other projects of the JCU,” – noted Neta Briskin-Peleg.

Ms. Briskin-Peleg singled out the need to develop the “The Righteous People of My City” project in other countries.

In addition to the project “The Righteous People of My City”, the Bureau got interested in the educational projects of the JCU – the school and summer camp.

“I think that in the nearest future “Nativ” will become a reliable partner of the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine. Today, we have made the first step towards this partnership. I hope it will be fruitful,” — Borys Lozhkin said,
