El Al passengers stranded in Ukraine
07.12.2018, Ukraine El Al passengers on Flight 2652 that was scheduled to take off Friday from Boryspil in Kyiv to Ben Gurion Airport was delayed because of a technical problem.
As a result, the passengers will remain in a hotel in the Ukraine until Shabbat ends.
The flight was supposed to take off at 10:45 local time.
The passengers boarded the plane after a delay but as it taxied on the runway, a second malfunction became apparent and the takeoff was cancelled.
The passengers were asked to disembark. El Al apologized and said it would provide them with accommodations in Kyiv.
